Reach people choosing a trading bot, without buying our opinion
BotOrNot sells a small number of clearly labeled ad spots, newsletter sponsorships and paid services. Money buys visibility or speed. It never buys a report card, a ranking or silence.
What money can’t buy here
- A better report card, or a softer one. Report cards follow fixed published rules.
- A higher position in the alphabetical directory, the leaderboard or any comparison.
- Removing, delaying or rewording an incident, a regulator record or a warning.
- A “verified”, “approved” or “recommended” badge, or any wording that implies we endorse you.
- Ads inside API or MCP responses. Data for agents stays ad-free.
What we can honestly tell you
- BotOrNot launched on Oct 15, 2026. We don’t have traffic numbers worth quoting yet, so we don’t quote any. We’ll publish 30-day figures here once we have them.
- The site documents 102 trading bots with sourced fact sheets and report cards, 610 regulator scam and enforcement records, and 74 ranked Hyperliquid vaults.
- @amp_xbt on X has 4,220 followers (as of Oct 15, 2026). The launch thread ran there.
- Visitors arrive mid-decision: checking a bot before connecting an API key or depositing.
Launch offer. Founding-sponsor rate: 50% off the first 3 months of any monthly placement booked before Dec 31, 2026, because we don't have 30 days of traffic data to show you yet.
Featured spots for bots
Featured spots only go to bots that already have a published fact sheet and report card here. Your ad shows that report card right next to it, whatever it says. Monthly, cancel any time.
| Placement | Where it appears | Price | Book |
|---|---|---|---|
| Category Spotlight Labeled “Ad · Featured” | Top of one category page (e.g. Cloud bot platforms), one advertiser per category. | $99/mo | Inquire / book |
| Directory Featured Labeled “Ad · Featured” | Featured row above the alphabetical /bots/ directory (max 3 advertisers, rotated) and the Check-a-bot results sidebar. | $149/mo | Inquire / book |
| Homepage + Directory Featured Labeled “Ad · Featured” | Single homepage featured slot plus everything in Directory Featured. One advertiser at a time. | $299/mo | Inquire / book |
One sponsor slot on the leaderboard and one on the scam watchlist
| Slot | Where and who | Price | Book |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leaderboard sponsor Labeled “Ad · Sponsored” | One labeled slot below the Hyperliquid vault leaderboard table, outside the ranking. Shown below the table, never inside the ranking. Hyperliquid vault operators can’t sponsor it. | $99/mo | Inquire / book |
| Scam watchlist sponsor Labeled “Ad · Sponsored” | One labeled slot on the scam watchlist. Security, wallet, tax and education brands only. Never trading bots, exchanges, or “fund recovery” services, which DFPI tracks as a scam category of its own. | $99/mo | Inquire / book |
Fast-track review: $199 one-time
We review a new listing or an update to your fact sheet within 3 business days. Payment buys speed, not a verdict. We use the same rules and sources, so the result can be worse than you hoped.
API access: from $29/mo
The free API stays free (rate-limited). Paid keys buy more capacity and commercial use without attribution, never different data.
How ads work on BotOrNot
Every ad is labeled the same way
Every paid unit carries the label “Ad · Featured” or “Ad · Sponsored” above its headline, inside a bordered, tinted box, on every screen size. We use the word “Ad” everywhere so the label means the same thing on every page. That follows the FTC’s guidance on native advertising (FTC: Native Advertising, a Guide for Businesses ↗). Ad links use rel="sponsored". Ads never appear inside report cards, check results, rankings, API responses or MCP answers.
Who can’t buy an ad
A bot can’t buy any placement or newsletter slot if its report card shows any of these:
- Rule R1: a regulator fraud action against the operator
- Rule R2: its official domain on a regulator scam list
- Rule Y2: a regulator or prosecutor action in the last 5 years
- Rule C1: an announced shutdown or discontinued product
The same applies if its own domain appears on a regulator scam list. Right now 16 of the 102 bots in the directory are blocked under these rules. We re-check eligibility at every site build. If an advertiser becomes ineligible mid-campaign, the ad comes down the same day and we refund the unused days.
Ad copy rules
- No promised, projected or “typical” returns, no “risk-free”, and no claims of SEC or other regulator approval.
- Don’t imply BotOrNot endorses, verifies or recommends you.
- One link per ad, to your own site, over HTTPS. You’re responsible for following the laws where you market.
- We can refuse or remove any ad, and refund unused days.
Conflicts we disclose
If we also earn a referral commission from an advertiser, the disclosure page says so. Featured spots for bots are listed in our machine-readable rate card.
